Welcome to GrimBatol, where your courage and skills are about to be tested like never before! We’re excited to unveil two distinct challenge modes for our players: Hardcore Mode and Adventure Mode. These modes are designed to bring a new level of excitement and challenge to your gaming experience. And if you’re bold enough to combine them, be prepared for an extraordinary surprise!
Hardcore Mode is not for the faint of heart. Death here means the end, with no possibility of revival. Team up only with other Hardcore players within a 5-level range, and remember: no help from mail, auction houses, or guild banks. Hardcore characters cannot engage in PVP or use the LFG system. Reach level 60, and you’ll be rewarded with the coveted title
Immortal and 6 tradable
For those who relish a more measured pace, Adventure Mode is your calling. Experience gains are slashed by 20%. Make it to level 60 in this mode, and you’ll earn 6
Adventurer's Grit and escalating gold rewards at key level milestones.
The Ultimate Challenge
Intrigued by the idea of combining Hardcore and Adventure modes? Activating both on a single character unlocks additional, undisclosed rewards, presenting the ultimate challenge for the bravest adventurers.
Fair Play Guidelines
To ensure everyone starts on equal footing, players below level 5 are restricted from trading, using mail, or chatting.

- In Hardcore Mode, NPCs Gaeriyan and Franclorn Forgewright, typically visible only in ghost form, will now be visible to hardcore players.
- For Hardcore Mode, the item Videre Elixir has been modified: Hardcore characters are now prevented from using it to commit suicide.
- The experience gain for challenge mode was at 0.5x, but we’ve found that it wasn’t quite right. Since there aren’t many quests available for players to level up, we’ve decided to increase it to 0.8x [2023.12.18]
